Indeed very amazing. I love the way the airplanes appear and dissappear when taking off and landing (and even do a go-around).
There are many movies on youtube about this airport. But be careful, these videos are tantalising.

Don't worry about the views-to-downloads ratio, Bruno. I suspect I'm pretty typical here. I've been following this thread on-and-off for weeks now, and I've looked at quite a few of the files on my iPad, in situations where I couldn't print at the time. Yesterday I printed out a few (while looking at several more and deciding "Not now, maybe later"). I started in on the 1:300 P-51 Mustang last night. Nothing like starting out with a challenge! It's going fine so far and if I can get my camera to focus in that close, I'll post pictures when it's done. I'll build others "some time" and of course, there will be some where I'll think "What an ugly airplane. I'm not going to build that" or "I looked at three sets of markings, and the second one is my favorite."

I often wonder where the models go to.
The other day I made a little count and found out that the models on the site had been viewed more than 28.000 times. However I did not see that many builds yet. (I hope that also means I made people happy more than 28.000 times.)

Now I know at least one place where they are build.

Bruno
Bruno, do not compare the views to downloads. Myself, I check in on this thread constantly because I'm fascinated by the prolific designing, the quality, and the scale of the builds.
I can't build at these scales so don't download, but I still really enjoy the thread.

Here are nine recolors of the Concorde that might have been in actual service (with modern liveries), if not...

Lufthansa, Singapore, Pan Am, TWA, JAL, Sabena, NWA, Qantas and Emirates.
couldn't stop myself.
hope you like it (and that someone might even build it, and show some pictures???)
WOW!!! Incredible, if only they were real!!
As II had stated before, I'd like to build a China based airline, maybe an a330,a340-300,a340-600 or 777-300.

since your doing some prop airliners for a while,,,,, how about this little gem from japan ... YS-11
I have a little book called "the observerés book of basic aircraft" by William Green that is as "old" as I am and apparently I have been designing the models almost in the same order as they are stated in the book.
So if I continue like this, the YS-11 will be done sometimes. So there is hope.

Hi Christopher,

Here's one model that might satisfy your "thirst". You'll have to test build it though. Look if the livery aligns out properly.

its the China Airlines A340-300.

Thanks, Amccombs3 and Jagolden01.

I'm not really comparing. I'm just trying to give the modellers a "guilty conscience" for not showing the results of their builds. (that's my strange sense of humour, I guess)

No, I'm exagerating. I should be creating new models in stead of giving the impression that I want "recognition" for the models. My main goal is to create new (and sometimes very challenging) models and to share with you all. Sorry if it looks like I'm whining.

Bruno

Bruno, on the other hand, it is nice to get some recognition for all your work.
I've only designed a handful of simple models, but I am tickled when I see a built pictue of one.

Hello,

My little adventure is finally done... I wanted the PSA pink "Grinningbird" scheme from their L-1011 days. The 727 is a recolor of Bruno's PSA orange 727, with the nose section from his 737 replacing the original 727 nose. Thanks to Steve "sjsquirrel" for his excellent recoloring tutorial, and to several others who gave me tips and advice in that thread.

These 1/300 are amazing in the way they catch the essence of the actual aircraft. I have no trouble at all in telling the 727 from the Trident, or the 880 from the 707. Thanks, Bruno!

Best regards,
Kurt
