Hi Bruno!
Thank You very much for taking the time to create the Felixstowe.. It is one of your best kits yet! Nicely done indeed...

Hello was wondering how did you get the metal parts to look like real aluminum?

Hi bevnklaus,

The metal parts on my model designs are plain grey. Perhaps the lighting or shadows create the effect. I did nothing else.

Su-17M4 Fitter K - Nose Job

Hi!

I have started on building a flight of Bruno's Sukhoi Su-17M4 Fitter Ks (Post #2798)

The model is brilliant! Only the nose section looked out of shape and proportion, probably a copy from another model – all other parts go together smoothly and make a lovely plane. So for the first time, I ventured into model design territory and created a new nose:

Before

After

Let me know what you think. Happy to share.

Cheers,

Martin

P.S.: Bruno, I have always been awed by your work. But after designing these two little parts took me an evening, my appreciation for your efficiency has risen to super human levels.

Hello everyone.

I did forget to thank everyone for the nice words on my latest model, so

thank you all.

@bevnklaus,
if I remember correctly, the metallic DC-8 was build by... Alzheimer. No, not the builder, my memory problem. I think that person printed on metallic paper.

@Sturmwind,
Without building instructions it is difficult to know that the cone and round part should have been put on the inside of the nose and not in front of it. That's why it seemed out of shape and proportion.
your adaptation looks realistic and is of course another solution for the tip.
and thanks for your appreciation.

Bruno

Today's work in progress.
Is it recognizable?
I could have used the same engine as on the Felixstowe but opted for a simpler version.
(Probably going to make the two versions possible.)

Could it be the H-16? or the later F.5 version of the Felixstowe??
Just guessing here..
