So I think I should intervene before this starts getting out of hand.

I did indeed like that recolors be added to the thread. This keeps the files somewhere centralized. Of course that creates extra posts and views, which is nice but not always handy for finding my original designs.

So what could be a solution? (I prefer solutions rather than problems )

How about a specific thread for the requests, pictures, status reports and exchange of information for all the recolors and a posting of the final result (a picture, an attached file or a post saying that it has been uploaded) in this OMPNWD thread.
A bit like what is done in the thread called "Bruno's planes"

Does that look feasable?

My sole purpose with these free models is contributing to the community. So please help me with that.

Thank you all for your enthousiasm, kind words and support

Bruno
Great Idea, Bruno!
I did see some threads with your recoloured and edited models. Thanks for helping all of us.

Thanks, Yankeeboy, for the colors.
Why did I not think about Wingnut. Silly me! They indeed have amazing info.

working hard on my next build with lots of struts and strange engine positioning.
With those tips you can gsurely uess what plane I'm talking about.

It has suddenly become so quiet in this thread and on the site...

Some progress pictures of my model.
fuselage is done.
Now I need to cut out a few hundreds of struts (only slightly exaggerated)
But I will get there

That is because we are frantically trying to keep up with you. There is a staggering amount of cutting, folding and glueing going on.

Oh I see
Sorry for going so fast. As I said before, I should go see a shrink.

I will slow down a bit an not finish my model today. Although I must admit that I'm getting close.
Here are some more pictures showing several strut construction phases.

Thanks for your kind words.

And the plane...
it is the Salmson-Moineau SM.1 we talked about a few days ago. Thanks to some very nice technical drawings from Chicharrero, I got tempted in trying it.

Really a strange plane, Bruno.
The engine in the airframe, an the propellers in the wings.
A very interesting bird.

STarted with the Sopwith Triplane. Sorry, Bruno. Just couldn't keep my grubby hands off and repainted it for John E Sharman (possibly a relative) I don't know how you can just throw one of these together in a day...

It could be stubbornness, concentration, dedication, occupational therapy, shear madness,... I don't know.

And to proof that I don't always manage to throw them together in one day, here are the picture of the model I started yesterday but only finished this morning.

Nr 1198 Salmson-Moineau SM.1
