I've tried to find some "reliable" information on the Camo version of the PBY without much success. Some looked too much like SEA (Vietnam) camo, other looked more like modern Russian camo. Do you have better info, I am (as always) interested In the meantime I started a new model with some possible recolors. Bruno |

I just happened to stumble across a .rar file that contains Bruno's PBY Catalina RAF full cam model in 1:300, 1:144, and 1:100 scales. PC square bein' naughty again? Nice of them to do the re-scales for those that can't hack the 1:300 stuff though.
I also found a 1:300 B2 Spirit by Bruno that I must have somehow missed on this thread. It is annotated as fixed and recolored though.

Bruno, you know what, Chris Stahlhart has made 40 liveries of his F/18 Hornet. You have just come up with a dozen. How would like to set/break a record?

Come on guys ... if you challenge him to do all the fifty thousand liveries the Catalina wore ... we'll never get another model.
To quote Wikipedia ... The PBY was the most numerous aircraft of its kind and the last active military PBYs were not retired from service until the 1980s. In 2014, nearly 80 years after its first flight, the aircraft continues to fly as a waterbomber (or airtanker) in aerial firefighting operations all over the world. I must have waited at least a year to get my PBY-5a, but, if need be, I can wait as long again for the SeaBee. Gotta be 200 recolours for that too.

as you mentioned maybe a new model(s?). Don forget the interesting family of Berievs, including the Be-10. Or if you feel like keeping the WWII theme the Dorniers may provide inspiration. In fact, the Do-24 had a some career as the Catalina after the war, although not as extensive. Best regards. Pablo |

Welcome Samboloco (Name or AKA?). You may want to share some of your Bruno's builds. Even if you may not consider them up to the standard of Bruno, Tatasam, Papermate, Café, or the young N96HBK, just to name a few fellows (sorry for my omissions) is always nice to see others builds. And with Bruno's you have all kinds of subjects. Remember, "tambien los gigantes empezaron desde chiquitos" or even giants started as little ones. Happy modeling, Pablo |
