Building advice Question. On the DH71 (1/100 #1469) Tiger Moth single seat racer. What is the placement of the little black rectangular piece with the pentagon in front that is next to the engine block on one side, and the grey rectangle that is on the other side of the engine block? I have scoured the web for photos that would guide me without much success. Thanks in advance to someone who has figured this out.

The first part with the pentagon goes on top of the engine block on the right and top side covering part of the top and the right flank of the engine block.
the rectangle should be rolled as fine as possible and is the exhaust tube on the left of the engine (as seen by the pilot)
Hope that helps.

Dan
thanks for the pictures.

So (if I understand correctly with the liveries used by the IAF) this is a Baz and not a Ra'am.

Do you know if the Baz (A/B/C/D) are also camouflaged?

are not camouflaged, all are gray close to the UASAF scheme (see also Yoav's F15) I've served for short time on this aircraft and get close to It, spatially to sky high 795, actually I think that this is one of the most well known F15 because of the accident, you can also see it in Wikipedia as well.

great week end to all - Dan

Wink And small confused Hebrew class

F15 A-D - called in the IAF Baz = Falcon - paint in gray
F16 A,B - called in the IAF Nets = Hawk - paint camouflage
the US Eagle in Hebrew = Ayit (the A4 name in the IAF)
and finally for this lesson is:F15I Raam mean Thunder in Hebrew and it paint camouflage.
there is also some confusion in Hebrew between eagle and vulture but this is other time
Thx, Dan

Luckily I got that right.
Here are 4 versions of the F-15 in IAF colors (grey)
F-15A/B/C/D based on a set of decals (except for the names on the planes. my Hebrew is not that good )
I saw pictures of the 795 with and without the falcon drawing on the tail, so I put both in them.

and for those who might have noticed, the Japanese F-15s I showed yesterday should have been the twin seaters.

In the end, I did make the Egyptian Mirage 2000. I just hope I interpreted the camo scheme correctly.

Edit: the UAE Mirage 2000-9 are ready too. Actually, they were done a few days ago. They're just waiting for a test build to check if the new camo scheme aligns properly. My printer is still having issues.
