Very nice Bruno:
If my memory is not failing me, the unified Vietnam used some F-5A against China!!!
The insignia is the same used by North Vietnam (not a request)
Happy modeling.
Pablo
ps looking forward for the FAM F-5E/F

Hi Papermate.
these parts (one per model) should go on the inside of the air intake. otherwise you would see the back side of your paper.

As you might have read, the F-35 has diverterless intakes. The two parts go into the air intake where you can just see them (unless you don't want to ruin the model )

Bruno, thanks for US SEA (#1904) scheme. Do you plan to make "Top Gun" movie "MiG-28" scheme too?

Oh yeah
It is already done (in the F-5E series that will follow soon).

There is just one thing that is not very clear. Models and drawings often show the roundels on the wings, yet in the movie that does not seem to be the case. can anyone confirm which one is correct?

thanks

B

Hi Bruno, as far as I know and have checked, there were no roundels on the wings, either top or bottom. Just the big one on the tail. By the way, have you checked the new aggressor scheme of USAF F-5 that simulates the Pak50 055 prototype? It is awesome!!!

Are you taking into account some differences that were introduced during the F-5E lifecycle ?

Like how the F-5N and F-5F currently used in the USN & USMC units are former swiss aircraft and as such have the F-20A wing root extension and sharknose. The old agressors from the 70ies/80ies/90ies had the original F-5E nose and wing root extensions.

Some other countries also had Tiger IIs with these aerodynamic enhancements either from the beginning or as upgrades (Bahrein, Malaysia, Mexico, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Austria's Tigers were rented from Switzerland)

Some F-5E/F also have a fin root extension (Chile, some but not all brazilian Tigers, Indonesia, some F-5E from Morocco, Tunisia).

Edit: actually the F-5Fs currently used by the USN & USMC are FrankenTigers : they're older US F-5F front fuselage sections mated to ex-swiss F-5E airframes.
