Thanks guys for the kind words.
This new series seems to attract a lot of interest (I'll be sending models asap)
just adding another color scheme to the list. (Perhaps the one you were looking for, Péricles? )

BruNo 3170 looks like Potez 63.11 J-316, Aircraft Number 12, of the 2nd Squadron of GR II/22 based at Montpellier in 1942.

I do not know how authoritative this is, but the TechMod decal sheet shows this aircraft with a blue eagle emblem on the vertical stabilizer: https://www.super-hobby.com/products/Potez-63-11-1568892.html#gallery_start The model could show the airplane before the emblem was applied, or after it was painted over. Or the TechMod painting might be in error.

The TechMod decal sheet identifies the aircraft as of the 2nd Escadrille of GR II/22. The Armeé de L’Aire Française 1939-1940 website shows that emblem as that of the 3rd Escadrille. https://www.passionair1940.fr/Armee%20de%20l%27Air/Escadrilles/Esc-Reco/Groupe-Reco/GR-2-22/GR_2-22.htm

It could be that the squadrons were reorganized after the Armistice, or it may be an error at one or both sources.

Santé!

Don

I know Bruno's recent Japanese phase has come to an end, but I thought some of you might like this- the oblique gun installation on the world's only surviving Ki-45 Toryu- the forward fuselage, which is at the Smithsonian's Udvar-Hazy Center. I was there two weeks ago for a work function and snapped this. Otherwise I took a bunch of Lysander pictures for my buddy Gixergs.

That version is already done-nr 3091

That arrangement was tried on I think most of twin engined planes made in Japan that were fast enough. Some larger single engined planes were tried with so-so results.

Afaik Russian tried this as well but pointed downwards for area starfing.Idea was tried on SB-2,Pe-2 and Tu-2 bombers but only handful were made.Last TU-2 with 4 23mm cannons were used in Korea but were withdrawn after nearly falling apart from overuse.
