Dear Waylon, if you go to the earlier posts you will find all the information you need to design your own models. You may start with 2.5 D models, then boxies, then rounded fuselages, and finally balended bodies models. The latter the more complicated in my humble opinion. Little by little you will be aquiring the skills. Look at Tony latest Brazilia. He started modifing existing models, but now an accomplished alumnus.
I also love the small scales since I don't have a lot of space at home.
Happy designing, modeling, and recoloring.

Ps also look at Draco and Yankeekilo post on designing new planes.

Hello Here again

I just wanted to share my new personal recolored 1/300 scale F-15B STOL/MTD. Instead of having it as a single separate template, I also combine it with my previously finished F-15B ACTIVE as a single set since I've made a slight revision on the markings and stencils.

*I simply do the modifications on the nozzle part, which is converting the standard cone nozzle into a box type 2-dimensional thrust vectoring nozzle. Instead of having a separated nozzle then joining it to the intake fuselage during the build as well as adding dotted guides for folding, I simply come up on having them joined together as a single piece to ease up the build. I also made the accurate as possible insignia of the STOL/MTD that has been painted on each rudders.

*Photo of the real life F-15B STOL/MTD, taken from Wikipedia:

Here's the template of the recolored and modified F-15B STOL/MTD and ACTIVE set, hot you like it and lemme know if there's any inconsistencies in it, I'm gonna post here about working on with the engine section of the STOL/MTD version later

Well, that's a surprise. Many, many moons ago now, as a soldier, I spent several years attached to an RAF base in Germany. Initially, they had Phantoms, which were replaced with Jaguars, but a nearby base had Buccaneers, which were replaced by Tornados that often used to beat us up and sometimes land for refueling. In all that live observation I never noticed that the Tornado had swing wings. Amazing what you learn from a paper modeling forum, ain't it?

I love that series of F-100. It's only missing the RF-100A (4 examples used by the USAF and ROCAF).

Great looking F-15 S/MTD, Waylon.
