Hal KA 5-6/95 F-4J

I got this pleasant surprise a little while back when I went looking for another OOP Hal (F-16C) and was lucky enough to find both. I’ve always wanted to build this one from when I first found Marco’s thread of his over at Kartonbau (from which, I’ve taken copious amounts of notes). I thought I would share it with you fine folks. On to some pics… enjoy. -J

Looks like you're off to a good start.

Very jealous! I have often looked at that model of the F-4J and wish I had the cajones to buy it and build it.. Good luck!

Ok, didn't have time to post as many pics this a.m. as I wanted to. Here's more for now. The seats are just some test builds of my own tweaking on the Hal design.

The metal is silver gift wrapping paper laminated to card or lighter stock (depending on the app), ran through a laser printer and then sprayed with fixative. Still, uber-delicate stuff! Went through 10 individual H-stabs before I found 2 that I could live with. C&CW. -J

it looks good and you are doing a good job on this model.

the model is great and very details, but from pictures of other builders the model have some problem designing like the shape of the nose and the shap of the front frame of the canopy.

in your permission I have 2 coments:

1. the shape of the Air intake inlet should be rectangular with round corners and not round.

2. the frame you put inside the Engine Nozzle Should be more insde the engine, and because of the model comes with short nozzle without depth, i think that you can give up on him...but it is your choice.

good luck

YOAV
