I'm sneaking into Paper Modeling, being amazed and inspired by Yoav's beautiful models. So ... I thought I'd practice with this wonderful gift (thanks again, Yoav). I did reduce the model to 1/72 from 1/50 and incorporated the cockpit from Yoav's new 1/30 Super Mystere B2. I got this far, and was sidetracked:
 The reason for the sidetrack is that I've been playing with a Silhouette cutter exploring how I could apply it to paper modeling ... pretty slick little machine. Here's a "Print and Cut" I just did on the Mystere tail:  The pieces are shown still on the cutting mat, and I haven't done any touch up or edge coloring ... in that regard, I think it came out pretty good! That cut is on 60# cover, and I've done formers on cereal cardboard, but that may be the machine's limit as far a deep cuts. At any rate, as thick as I think I need (but since the cuts are repeatable, it would be easy to cut multiples for lamination). Yoav's jpg (bitmap) was "cleaned" of lettering and then traced using the software that comes with the machine (learning curve not too bad). However, more accurate cuts can be made by importing vector images, so that's my next step (I may have to call on John Bowden's expert advice in that area if the thousands of Internet video tutorials confuse me further). At any rate, an interesting sidetrack that's taking "a little learnin'" ... not there yet!  Gene K
