Mike with his comments on meeting current regulations for cars hit a big point. Especially with the rollover and new crash standards. That's the primary reason Ford dropped the Ranger and with no plans at the present to do an update on it. Was talking with a guy from Ford about it a couple of years ago and he said to meet the upcoming standards it would only be a little smaller and lighter then the F150 and cost almost as much.
