Josef Jacobs DR-I.. 1/33 Orlik kit..
I did a review on this kit some time ago (Orlik Fokker DR-I "1:33"), but never got around to starting a build post (I think.. if so it's not around). Saw the excellent build of the same model by Andy Nase, and decided to give mind a go. Jacob's all black plane with the "God of the North Wind" scheme.. Have already done parts of this before I stashed it away..
Here's the cowling finished, and painted aluminum enamel inside.. Parts.. Finished.. |

Coming along great! The triplane was always my WWI favorite airplane (along with the Fokker DV-II, Pfalz D-III ,Albatros D-II thru DV, Fokker D-VI, Fokker D-VIII.........
...I always wanted to build this kit also.....I should go dig up my PDF....I`ll be watching your build so try to keep posting! Keep up the nice work! Bill :>)
