Josef Jacobs DR-I.. 1/33 Orlik kit..

I did a review on this kit some time ago (Orlik Fokker DR-I "1:33"), but never got around to starting a build post (I think.. if so it's not around). Saw the excellent build of the same model by Andy Nase, and decided to give mind a go. Jacob's all black plane with the "God of the North Wind" scheme.. Have already done parts of this before I stashed it away..

Here's the cowling finished, and painted aluminum enamel inside..

Parts..

Finished..

Starting off great. I'm looking forward to seeing this one.

Thanks Lief.. for me it helps if I can lock/glue a section down first, it becomes easier to slowly edge glue my way around without fighting to hold the center line. Plus the painting of the inside helps for added strength.

More parts that I already have pre-built before setting it aside..

Coming along great! The triplane was always my WWI favorite airplane (along with the Fokker DV-II, Pfalz D-III ,Albatros D-II thru DV, Fokker D-VI, Fokker D-VIII.........

...I always wanted to build this kit also.....I should go dig up my PDF....I`ll be watching your build so try to keep posting!

Keep up the nice work!
