Beautiful job on the wing roots and wings.

SMWulph for me the great problem in wing root of 707 family is a small area of gluing in upper side. For me not have a big problem, because this I development the technique described, I gluing small portion by session, I pre-forming the piece too.

I start sections of fuse, the first section is a front fuselage.

After I cut all pieces.

I start the formings of pieces...

I use straps of "vegetable" paper of gluing pieces without tabs...

I start the gluing of segments...

After tip of nose dry, I rounded with a ball former in rubber draw...

I gluing the nose segments and in the tip I made a strap of vegetable paper for fitting the nose, I not exact word outside portuguese for this type of paper, but is very equivalent a paper use for protect shoes in package box. The vantage is very slim paper, easy to round and molding with glue.

The nose finished

After I add weight in the nose, is a hunting small spheres, I gluing with CA gel glue.

I install the nose and windshield without problems...

Looking good Pericles. I believe "tissue paper" would be something others would more commonly know the "vegetable" paper as.

That looks so awesome!

Ray, I think the "vegetable paper" might be like our "onion paper" or tracing paper from the looks of it.

Wowwwww That is a great build but I have some question, I saw a variety of design method about wing spar, some use a box, some use flat spar like my design. In many FG or Aaron or Kancho design they use box spar and tell inside part that "cut after assembly" at wing spar position in fuselage. Question is how easier than between "Cut after Assembly" and "Cut Before Assembly"

Since Aaron's (and all FG) designs don't use fuselage formers, you need to cut the opening after. I did a few FG models early on and cut out the wing opening first and the fuselage never gets into proper shape. It's more oval/elliptical than anything.

I usually let that section of the fuselage sit overnight so that the glue and shape are good and set before I cut it open. That way it is more stable and will retain the proper shape better.
