Chiltons DW1 and 1a , 1/72

2 models of a small british racer before WWII.
Models from Jan Legrand , the blue one is a conversion with a modified Magister cowling from DGA , using the excellent package of Leif Ohlsson , I thank again for all his useful contributions.

They look very nice. Great work. I amazed how great results get from the dga's kits.

How are you building the windshields?

The windshields are made from a thin sheet of PVC ( can be glue with cyanocrilat and can be rolled between the fingers).

I am happy to see this, Jan. What a wonderful sight. You did well to enlarge the models, and I am happy to see that it works! - Leif

PS. I'm sure Jan Legrand will be happy too, if he ever sees this. Send him my regards, if you are in touch. I tried to find him, but failed, despite all possible efforts.

Hello everyone, it's been ages since i've been here, but it's nice to see the Chilton model lives on.
Thanks you Leif for keeping it alive. And congradulations to you Jan, for such an excellent build. (much better than i ever did)

I haven't had much time to spend on the hobby in recent years, but the itch to build and design models never really went away, and seeing people enjoy buidling them is certainly a motivation to pick up where i left off. Unfortunately the harddrive where my models where stored got destroyed a few years back so most of my original designs have been lost, although some survive in printed form, and i hope to one day scan and retrace them so i could release them.

happy buidling

Hi,
It was a real pleasure to build your excellent model of this pretty plane.
I thank you very much for this.
It is a pity that such marvellous models have been lost and I hope that one day you could release other planes.
