I think you right, it was the airfield just to the north of Melun.

I remember being shown around the HD and told it was airworthy at the time.
Not sure if it still flies now.

Any idea what else is based there?

Unfortunately the aircraft is kept on Ground i think and i believe because it cost too much to maintain in a airworthy state and the few people involve where only voluntary workers.
- There is an A/C list in the web site of the museum describing all the plane and history, but it is in french only...

The museum website is worth visiting, look at the HD-34 and watch the video. It is fascinating to see this remarkable aircraft with its spidery wing flying. Notice, that the nose gear is retractable, but not the main gear.

Beta 01 version in B&W

Hello,
As you can see i make some progress on my Aircraft. The wing , the aft tail and horizontal plan are now assembled to the fuselage rear part. I made a quick test using light paper (80g/m²) to check if the part fits well together. I've already notice some corrections to be implemented on Beta 02 version using 160g/m² paper. next task is to design & built on the Beta 01 version the fuselage forward part, windscreen & nose (already done) before the wing struts, wheels and at the end the 2 engines.

Beta 02 version using 160g/m² paper nearly finish and coming very soon - the fuselage forward part, windscreen, nose, wing struts, wheels and the 2 engines are going to be implemented.. i plan a Beta Version03 with correction and improvment seen during this Beta 02 Version..

@ TSJPONeill : Thanks to be keen on this design development and to follow this thread.. just a few pics to show the fuselage wing fairing, the wing struts and engine assembly - actually just a RD4 (DC3) one scaled to match the HD model.. i've done that to understand how to modify the 2D shape to match the real one engine..
