OBP/FG Boeing 707 VC-137 Air Force One Beta Build
This is another livery of the Boeing 707 and I'm aiming at finishing it shortly as
I'll be busy doing something else in the next couple of weeks. I'm particularly careful in handling THIS plane as it is the Air Force One. Here are a few pics of the initial build. And my two-cents about building the supporting wing root/ strut (or whatever) first and inserting it into the completed fuselage. It gives the right dihedral if you build it in one piece. Yes it is impossible to insert into the fuselage slots unless you cut more in the forward slot position, see last picture. Once inserted, the wing root gives pretty good support to continue with the build. No fear in showing the gap as the wing fairings will cover them. Again, stock build this time and enhanced build later, after two weeks. Best if you can advise me where are the chrome parts on the fuselage. Wings I know. Papermate |

Here's a shot of the actual plane.
The underside of the fuselage, up to the curved markings just behind the presidential seal. |

Thanks guys. And now the Boeing 707 VC-137 Air Force One stock build is done.
Haste makes waste and I notice that the inner engines are tilted upwards slightly. Wonder if it is the wing spar (finally got it right, wing spar) has become too thick because I double glued the wings. Or is it the wings too thick. Could have pressed the leading edges of the wing spar to more round than angular as it is and it will improve in accepting the engine pylons to the wing's edge. I'll try to fix that when I do the crazy build. And that ends my beta build of these two awesome jetliners. Papermate |

Thank you, YOAV. They're not as beautifully built as yours. Of course, the design is excellent.
