checked out airliners.net and the two biggest operators appear to be aurigny in the channel islands and great barrier airways in australia

Maybe you mean the german Inselflieger home page (now fln-norddeich.de). They used to have an simple Islander paper model for download. But this one has gone.

yeap i think thar was it.i know the islander was a favorite among parachute clubs in the uk because of its high wings and large detachable doors.both should be good topis for modellers as fuselage sections are just about square.
