Anybody know of any BN Trislander models

Just asking you wonderful people if there are any models of the Britten Norman Trislander out there...Was going to use two airfix Plastic islander kits and try and make one but really cannot be bothered with all the work involved. To be honest my plastic model kit days are numbered due to the fact the painting always catches me out.

Dear Paul

Best I could find is:

Bobs Card Models

It's only an Islander. Don't think the factory did more than and an extra engine on the back. maybe made it a bit longer in places

Tim

Trislander

Although not in production any more I managed to obtain a 1:72 Resin model of the above made by Select Gallaries on Jersey I believe. Only kit of this I have ever seen and very pleased to have it, in the markings of G-JOEY. Incidentally I also have their Islander

Still plenty of these going out of Southampton Airport to the Channel Islands. One of the few airliners in which you can see into the cockpit and out of the front windows. I seem to remember that the empennage is a slightly enlarged shape to take the third engine and the nose is longer compared to the Islander, if you're thinking of converting rather than designing from scratch. Would make a great model as there are loads of colourful paint schemes and it wouldn't be hard to do a full interior.

I'm actually looking into doing this one soon. Gonna try and start it tonight, and see how far I can get on it at work.

loading baggage was an education.basically you put a pole into hole below tail.put cases in until aircraft sat down on pole then took one out.Thats what made me decide to be a loadmaster in my adult life
