when the cardmodel drawings will be finished, I will be very hesitant about the choice of camouflage, personally I would do them all, but the favorites are the dazzle (black and white) and neutral with planks and canvas unpainted.
Or the red one with the white curled snakes!!

The choice is tyranny!!

Beautiful, look forward to seeing whatever version you pick, The larger F3 and F5s used to be built at the Rochester Short Bros factory just behind my house.

I LOVE them all!
I really think we are in front of a win-win situation here

Just onw quick note: shouldn't this thread be in the Design forum instead of here, in Model Builds? It's not so terribly important, but it will help you get more attention probably if it's there

Best,
Mauri

Hi Matt

Excellent work.

May I respectfully suggest that the Windsock drawings are completely wrong in the area of the front windscreen and the decking in front of it. They do not agree with the available photographs.

I have taken a picture from Windsock and drawn over it to show that the middle of the semi-circular part of the windscreen was vertical and of constant height. The decking immediatly in front was almost flat.
This is what is shown in the drawings in the manual at the Seawings site and fits much better with available photographs.

Difficult choice
I think the dazzle is very interesting.
But I vote for the red, so unusual.

Tanks maurice, I simply relied heavily on technical drawings included in the booklet of Winsock, was the only source...

I found another piece of design, but I do not have corresponding sections:

Felixstove F.2A (1/48 ??)-f2a.jpg

.. but then this is also wrong, because it seems impossible to have a plan in front of the windshield ...

While looking at the drawings of the Curtiss H16, we confirm what you say,

Felixstove F.2A (1/48 ??)-scan10034.jpg

however, the geometry of the windscreen is different between the two planes.

Looking at the ribs of the hull, in this picture everything seems very curved!

Felixstove F.2A (1/48 ??)-clip-intelaiatura.jpg

are more and more confused, but I have to make a decision ...
