Airship LZ 45
A while back I downloaded a booklet and model of a WWI German Airship the LZ 45 the creator of the model was a gentleman named Thorsten Brand. I have been looking to see if he has any other projects in the works at this time. A web search of his name led me to this site. Does anyone have information on either the creator of the model or the model it's self. What I have looks great I was just wondering if Mr. Brand has any other models or studies of similar Airships.

I won't be able to do a new Zeppelin model in the near future because of time reasons. However, if someone wanted to build this one, gives me feedback about part's fit etc and shows some pictures, I'd do another P-Class recolor in return, or the research and modifications to do a Q-Class ship. I'm not aware of anyone having built the model yet, but I'd really be keen on getting feedback to improve for the future.

Sorry to take so long
I have been puzzling how to answer a thread without adding a quote. Then I had the devils own time finding the thread! But I think I have how this works now. I'll be starting on the LZ-45 soon and will take as many pictures as possible. That was if I get into problems you can see what I've done and suggest a fix. I like the way you have devised to create a skeleton and then cover it. I have a very old plastic kit of the USS Shenandoah in vacuum form I want to try your method on this with possibly a couple of ideas of my own to strengthen the superstructure.
I'll let you know how it's coming. Thanks for the help and encouragement. Andy |
