So I finished the landing gear. I plugged a precision tip into the left and right struts, filled them with a ton of testor's glue, and let the gear set for an hour. It feels pretty sturdy, and looks good.
I put the Mig next to my two ModelArt F-15Cs; the difference between 1:33 and 1:32 (mig and F-15, respectively) is definitely visible.Granted, I haven't added the nose cone (which adds a lot of length) but it is still comparatively small. |

Uhhh......., simply amazing! What a clean build and what a level of detail, especially the cockpit. Everything is possible in paper modeling, that's for sure.

Beautiful work irresponsibility, most impressive!
Quick Q: what are you using for edge coloring? |

Thanks everyone. I just got burned out by the ridiculous level of detail in the model. I paint the model with watercolors on the edge. It's pretty simple to keep a dry spot of paint on some cardboard, wet it, cover the edges, and move on. Colored pencils always marred the surfaces or weren't the right color, and markers bled into the paper.
I also got the nose attached, finally. Now I just need to finish the air brake, missiles, gun housing, pilot seat, windshield, antennae, right landing gear doors, front landing gear doors, ladder, and fuel tank. |

Welcome back, very nice clean build. I started using watercolor pencils, cheap and come in a lot of different shades.
