Completing the fuselage

Before I added the nose inlet sections, I had to build and install the nose gear strut. The reason for it is that it is mounted via a pin that penetrates the sides of the gear bay.

Once in position, I used CA ( Cynoacrylate ) super glue to fix it in place.

When that is done, then complete the forward section.

Pretty cool. Are you going to put together the engine anyway, have it just for show?

Not sure if I will build the engine,. As I said, the kit's engine is inaccurate up front and needs to be reworked. If I do, then it will be shown external on the sides.

Thanks

Isaac

Cockpit fairing

The fairing is relatively simple. My only addition was to add a card stock strip to allow for better contact with the fuselage.

Couldn't really figure out why the vertical fin would be made in two parts

A one piece part would give a better leading edge

I agree!! It is a straight fold and they could have made it from one piece.

I did work it a bit more to get a better leading edge.

Elevators and Horizontal fin

This kits allows for separate control surfaces. If you choose this option, you need to cut those out and build the surfaces separately.

Elevators

Horizontal fins
There is a small thin spar and a center rib to support it. I just added a small tab to attach the two sides to each other.
