Almost ink-less model

Hi,

Here's what I've been working on since I last posted. A 1/200 scale P-61 Black Widow. About 4" x 4" and it was printed on standard bond then glued to black construction paper. When I was working on the engine cowls I didn't like how they came out and grabbed a piece but it was a slightly different shade than the rest. Granted there are other problems, but what model is perfect?

The top turret turns, propellers spin and it's a tail sitter but hard to tell in the photographs. Landing gear feels a bit tall but does it's job. And I messed up the back radar operator's windows making it look as if there are more panes than there really is. But despite the problems I'm happy with the way it turned out including the nose art. It's the "Lady in the Dark" the one that got the last Japanese zero of WWII...well, actually the crew made Japanese pilot crash his plane with out having to shoot their guns.

I think the plane looks great. I wouldn't use the kind of cheap construction paper sold for use by children, though. I haven't bought any in recent years, but the construction paper I've seen in the past yellows very badly. Perhaps they don't put the acid in it anymore, but I'd look for a good quality art paper.

You did a great job on the black widow.
