So, you are looking for a "Banana" are you - that's what they were called when used by the Swedish Air Force . Found this one for you: "Piasecki-H21 - $4.95". And there's this one in 1/72: "1/72 Piasecki H-21C Shawnee U.S. Army Paper Model". You're good at rescaling, right?

There's also this one, in 1/50: "1:50 - H-21 "Work Horse": Wilhelmshavener Modelbaubogen WHM No.1616", but you'll have to find a source for it on your own...

Adding to your reading, here's an interesting page with lots to read further down. It will lead you to an equally interesting original Piasecki brochure (pdf).

- L.

I can attest to the FG H-21. Designed it myself back when I worked with Chip.
Although if I remember correctly, it's a bit larger than 1:48.

The FG H-21 is a great model. I built mine in '06 and it is still holding up very well. The design is so smooth and very accurate. I've held it up in line with a real one and it's nearly perfect.
