Smile Kawazaki Ki-32 Type 98 "Mary" - Murph's Models in 1/100

Hi my friends!

Another fine model release from Murph's Models. The original scale is 1/35, but I reduced to 1/100 of course.

At this time is Kawazaki Ki-32 " Mary"

The Kawasaki Ki-32 (九八 式 軽 爆 撃 机 Kyuhachi-shiki keibakugekiki) or single engine light bomber type 98, was a tactical bomber used by the Imperial Japanese Army Air Force in the second half of the 1930s into the early stages of World War II. The Japanese aircraft industry was in the habit of designing airplanes at that time there for future needs but to present. The General Staff of the Imperial Army, was impressed with several types of attack planes that the Chinese were put in service during the Sino-Japanese war that dragged over the 1930s, especially drew attention to the Northrop Gamma 2E and Vultee V11G , so the Japanese authorities issued a requirement in 1936 through public competition to select a new modern tactical attack aircraft to replace the Japanese biplanes same function (notably the Mitsubishi Ki-3 and Kawazaki KDA Type 88 ) to Mistsubishi and Kawazaki industries were the finalists. The first presented an elegant and advanced monoplane with fixed landing gear gaiters and cantilever with radial engine, already Kawazaki presented a monoplane lines with a bit uglier and Orthodox and with an in line engine Ha 9. Finally Ki-32 was the loser of the competition, but ironically the need for aircraft to climb the Chinese conflict put both types into production, and Ki-32 was produced in greater quantity than the Ki-30. Known among the Allies code-named "Mary" was used only in the early stages of World War II, notably against the forces of Commenwealth, after being relegated to training.

With counterpart the Mitsubishi Ki-30 "Ann"

Best regards!

Nice job. The cowl area really adds a lot of interest with its air scoop, bubbles, and exhaust pipes. Well done!

Thank's My friends!

Ki-32 is really a great Kit, I intent made a repaint of more two versions: a Manchukuko Air Force and another IJA machine or in overall gray or two tone camo with big blue stripes...

Ray, actually I have only one or two hour in the night for modelling...

Best regards my friends!
