Did I do something wrong?

So I thought I'd take a crack at the Frontier Airlines A319 in the Downloads section, and things were going well until I joined the fuselage pieces. They are mismatched.

As you can see from the photos, the printing on the pieces right behind the main fuselage piece don't line up. (I printed things out "actual size.")

On the port side, the top of the "E" is about 2mm below the line of the top of the letters on the main fuselage piece. The windows of that piece are about 1mm below the line of windows on the main fuselage piece. (And the rear window is partially covered by the left side of the "R.")

On the starboard side, while the letters seem to line up, the line of windows on the piece with the "R" are about 1mm higher than the line of windows on the main fuselage piece. And if you line up the top edge of the cargo door, the bottom edges don't line up.

All the seams are lined up, so I have no idea if I screwed up in the construction or in the printing or if the design is off.

Anybody have any experience with this model?

On the bottom of the plane, is the seam lined up?

Could be that the repainter needs to correct the file and re-upload. Or somehow your prints came out slightly different scale.

Lets see if anyone else who has built this one had any problems.

Seams are all lined up on the bottom. All the pages were printed "actual size." The parts fit together like they're supposed to, it is just that the lettering of "FRONTIER" is off, and the windows are off.

I don't think there is any mistake on your part.

I think the alignment of the lettering and windows may be off for the part in question. On the two parts (main fuselage and rearward piece), I measure a difference of 0.0399 inches (1.013 mm) between the top of lettering/top centerline.

Also, it looks like the right-side rear cargo door has a mis-match at the bottom.

The good news is this model is in vector format, so making the changes should be relatively easy using a vector program (Illustrator, CorelDraw, or Inkscape).

I'm hoping the original designer can do that, because I sure as heck would have no idea how to do it....

It may depend when you downloaded the model, David. Apparently, the designer found a couple errors over time, fixed them, and reposted the model. See thread here: My A319's repaired
