1:60 Airbus A380

I wanted to start my New Years off right and what do I do!? I print this bad boy off, yup that is the Paper-replika Airbus A380-800 enlarged to 1:60 scale! (instead of 1:144).... Who can say no to an 8 foot wingspan!?

Well, time to start building!

(Also this model will have a lot of extra reinforcement.) And Shaun (Inky) is building this too!

MUCH MORE PROGRESS TO COME AND HAPPY NEW YEARS!

You will need to build a strong wing box for that size. Much more than what this kit provides ( even scaled up ). Same for the fuselage. Also, the printed card stock will probably need to be heavier or else it will ripple.

Why stop at 1/60 scale? Why not go to 1/33 ( joking ).

In any case, I don't think you will be able to take it outside your room when you move out ( unless you build the wings with a removable feature ).

Have fun

Isaac
