Great work Isaac, the nose section is looking great. Based on the work so far, you made it look easy. Very nice work.

nose intake assembly
The engine nose intake consists of the split intake, the aft plate and the nose gear bay.
I also added a small weight to the back of the gear bay to prevent the model from being a tail seater. The difference this time ( compared to the first Mig-15 ) is that I glued the splitter first in place to get the best fit. The gear bay is then glued into position over the bottom opening and I inserted wood sticks to spread it apart as it wanted to close up. The rear plate ( former ) can now be pushed from the back and glued in place blocking the intake I am glad this part is over. Isaac

Most Mig-15 had no color. All silver. So it is nice to see some of it here.
Also, I would like to see a repaint of this plane with the Egyptian AF marking when it was shot down during the Suez campaign and then diplayed. Also all silver but.... Isaac

Cockpit tub
The cocpit tub is identical to the Mig-15 kit. As I said earlier, most of the parts are identical.
It is shown here assembled, but is not glued yet to the fuselage. The primary reason, is that The mating aft part of the fuselage needs to be hand mated and pressed to get a good fit. But later on that. Isaac

Aft fuselage section
The aft section is identical to the previous Mig-15 version.
Pictures here The wood sticks will be used as a center wing box. The two fuselage halves will be joined later Isaac

Complete the fuselage assembly
At this point, I placed the cockpit tub in the nose section without gluing. The aft and forward sections are joint at the cockpit opening. I have been using my method of using very low tack tape to draw the two sections together since they just was too much tension and they wanted to slide apart.
Some builders may consider adding sections going aft instead of having a forward and an aft section. That may work as well. In any case, it is coming along. Isaac

Cockpit in place
Now that the fuselage is joined, I added the two interior walls just under the opening on either side and then applied glue to the cockpit tub and pulled up the assembly into position. Not difficult at all.

Vertical fin
Assembly is identical to the previous Mig 15. Note that you have the option of a separate rudder set ( as well as elevators ). However, for this build, I omitted all of those separated surfaces including no flaps or speed breaks ).
I just wanted a clean Mig version for this one. Isaac
