I am planning to build all 3 at the same time. Production line style. I hope it is not too much!
I also ordered canopies for these ( even though I don't think there are any curved surfaces ). Isaac

The kit
This is the Hobby Model Polish kit that contains 3 different colored version of the two seat Mig-15 trainer.
The kit relies on the previously designed kits of the single seat version of the Mig-15 and Mig-15bis discussed earlier in this thread. The print comes on large format A3 and is organized in separate sheets for each version. The layout is identical with some parts not used for different versions. Here is the kit and the parts the instruction sketches and with my first two Mig-15 builds I started while living in Japan years ago. and the laser frames and wheels for each model. The canopies were just ordered and I am waiting for them. More soon. Isaac

The build strategy
I plan to build all 3 models at the same time. However, each will be different in some ways.
- The Red one will have closed canopy and no airbrakes or flaps deployed. So other than the landing gear it will be clean. - The Polish trainer will have the canopy open and airbrakes and flaps deployed. - The East German version will be a technical maintenance version. Gears, flaps air break deployed . In addition, I plan to build an engine and install it in the forward fuselage section while the rear fuselage is separate and on a cradle. Should be interesting. For now, I am keeping all the parts separate in bins. Isaac

Lets start- Fuselage
Here are the main fuselage parts cut out
and each model Recall that the red version will have the air speed breaks in the stowed position while the other two in the deployed position. well, we will need to work those parts. Isaac

Red plane speed breaks re attached
For some reason, Hobby Model printed the fuselage section where the speed breaks are located in blank white. So that forces you to cut that part out and build the air breaks in the open position. But if you want it in the smooth or stowed position, You need to re attach the breaks back on.
So cut out the white parts attach a thin paper on the inside ( with silver coloring for the edges ) glue the thin paper on the inside using UHU glue ( it works best with thin paper ). cut out the kit air breaks external panels and glue back in the cut area. This method also adds a bit more realism. Isaac
