Despite your fit issues, and flak in the cockpit, you've done an amazing job. They are great looking birds!

Cool Lim version wing

The wing of the camouflaged Lim will have the landing gear down as well as flap down. In addition, its support spars will also differ from the red UTI wings. More on that later.

For now here are the parts sub assemblies

and now the flaps. I used my fancy hole punch to remove the many small circles in the flap inner skin ( just like the real plane ).
Here are the steps

and sub assemblies with simulated flaps positions.

More coming up

Cool Lim version wing part 2

Next, lets cut out the main gear doors and flaps
Before
Mig-15 marathon-img_7944.jpg

after
Mig-15 marathon-img_7945.jpg

Now glue both in place to the wing cut out locations.
Mig-15 marathon-img_7946.jpgMig-15 marathon-img_7947.jpgMig-15 marathon-img_7948.jpg

I added a wood spar in front and back of the main gear bay. This is to fully support the weight of the model on the wheels and also to position with ease the wings to the fuselage. I used a few drops of super glue ( CA glue ).
Mig-15 marathon-img_7949.jpgMig-15 marathon-img_7950.jpg

now the wings are rounded and folded around the leading edge and glued to the trailing edge only.

more soon.

Exclamation Flaps

Here is a dry fit of the flaps. They will be glued when the model is on it's wheels.

Cool Wing attach dry fit

With this technique, I can now figure out where the wing spars enter the fuselage. The other way, it interfered with the landing gear bays and the wing spar.

Once I cut the hole, I will have to build the internal structure in the fuselage around the holes.

For now, here is a dry fit

still dry fit of both wings.

Now that hole punch definitely made short work on those flaps.

Great job Isaac, the detailing is really nice.

Going to display the Migs along with other models at the US Air Force museum this Monday November 5th. Using them as examples for my early jets presentation.

Part of education day.

Exclamation Lim wings continued

Now it is time to attach the wings to the fuselage.

The wing spars in the fuselage are wood coffee stirrers cut up. Only issue is that they have to fit under the cockpit floor, so they are smaller in size, but still functional.

and dry fitting the wings on

Mig-15 marathon-img_8005.jpg

Once glued in place, add the wing fillets as before
Mig-15 marathon-img_8006.jpgMig-15 marathon-img_8007.jpg

( the lower fillet has to be cut just aft of the leading edge or it would just warp ).
