Red wings
The red UTI will have simple wings with only the landing gear open ( I was thinking of in flight mode, but I really like the gear down look anyway ).
Here are the landing gear bay parts  the wings and the bay assembly  cut out the doors  bend the wings along the leading edge  glue along the trailing edge  glue the bay in place   wings are ready ( need one more thing )   I added a straight piece of wood along the trailing edge so it is not wavy.  and it is glued inside. Wing structure and attachment
Here is the main spar. It will be reinforced with wood.
 ribs on the fuselage and spars   dry fit first    No Good! something is interfering on the inside. The spars are not in the correct position with the landing gear bay. Needs modifications  I needed more internal modifications and minor adjustments to make it all fit. Wings are on ( thank goodness for the fillets later on since I could not get it close with this construction ).     Isaac

Wing fillets
The fillets are one piece that wraps around. That will not work ( I know ) and I needed to snip it on the lower section so it does not kink.
 Fillets are on.     I don't understand why the fillet outline on the fuselage is so much larger than the actual fillets. One of them is wrong! Isaac

Static cling
During the wing attachment, I had to re position the spars. That created loose particles inside the fuselage.
Guess what? All those particles clinged to the inside of the canopy and now, I can't get it out or even loose so they are not on the canopy. Crap!  Isaac
