Trying to find WW II US Aircraft Bombs/Drop Tanks

Hello,
Can anyone point me in the right direction to find WW 2 US aircraft armaments. Specifically 500Lb GP bombs and Drop Tanks in 1/100 scale, but any scale will work and I will rescale. Corrently Building a 1/100 scale P-47D and would like to make it a Ground Attack version. Thanks in Advance. - Darren

Check out some of John Dell's B-24's at ecardmodels. He has several sizes(weights) of bombs that can be rescaled quite well. As well as other ground use items useful in dioramas.

Also AirDave offers lots of items for dioramas, but I don't recall if that includes bombs.

Maybe he could comment on that if he see's this thread.

Best luck,

SFX

AirDave's diorama sets do include bombs. About the only way I know of to obtain drop tanks is to get an airplane kit that includes one. Quite often P-36 and P-51 kits have a drop tank or two.

Just a heads up,
The tanks and bombs are in a folder marked misc in the P-51 collection.

No Prob,
Happy to help. Ya the files are kind of hiding, I missed them as well, when I was just in there to make sure of them.

a couple of picts of my bomb builds from John Dells, B-24J 'The Dragon and his tail" ecardmodels.

These are 1:48 and the bomb cart is part of the same set if I recall.
