I always do choose my words with care and accuracy, so please read them carefully.
I never said that you had said it was your new design but others have claimed it as original on your behalf and I was addressing them as well as you.

Aside from the fact that I would never have had the patience to do this conversion and redesigning task, I think you spent enough time and effort to be able to share the outcomings of your work with others without a bad feeling.

Some years ago I read a comment somewhere that my Space Shuttle design had been largely based on the MarsCenter shuttle which is absolutely wrong, my model was a complete new design. But I looked at the model and yes, there are parts that are similar.

I think it is useless to determine who is the designer of a model by the question who did the first similar steps. A better question is who drew the main parts of the kit in the form that is included in the kit. And in this case, it is you!

Another point which in my eyes makes the whole discussion useless is that your model depicts a very different aircraft, noone buying your kit will be able to build the plane of the kit you based your model on, not even with a recolor. So the original publisher won't lose any customers, if this is of any relevance.

Thumbs up Great work!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yoav

This is a good introduction into the background of designing your Kfir. The comparison with the Mirage 3C design is very detailed.

I'm not going to get overly involved with what you should or should not do. There are enough trolls posting on this forum that will tear good work to shreds.

Your work is extremely detailed and have your "signature" mark. No one else is designing these models in your style and you are a unique artist.

Good luck

Isaac

Oh I meant I only see some body sections that look the same.
Probably about 80% or more new parts

The original looks to be the Wilhelmshaven model.
Might be hard to locate one.
