Well sorta. The Russki enemy & equipment they were flying against was at Purdy much rock bottom. 'Course that was pretty much the case wIth the USN too.

Where is Don B when we need him?

Figures like these are always a bit rubbery when you factor in everything I guess.

I will admit to having a bit of a soft spot for the Buffalo and it's nice to know that it's service record wasn't a total disaster!

Garry - "Figures like these are always a bit rubbery when you factor in everything I guess."

I have nothing to add. Not an area in which I have knowledge.

But the model is terrific!

To celebrate Bruno's thread One Model Per (Non-Working) Day having passed the 1.8 million mark in view counts, may I present his SNCASO SO-30 Bretagne in soda can, the Skol Bretagne at the scale of 1/72.

More pictures to come in the Soda Can Planes thread.

You are a real master of this, Papermate. The pretty lines of the Bretagne show through the eye-catching soda can art.

My rendition of SO-30 Bretagne.I needed a break from something else I'm doing so ta-dah:

Enlarged to full page format and nothing else.Good model.Looks like marriage of Boeing 307 fuselage idea with surplus engines from B-26 Marauder and similar wings.

What a novel and beautifully executed approach Papermate! What do you cut the metal with? And ( I know I'm asking for everyone here) what did you do with the Skol?
