I tried to turn Bruno's 1:300 MiG-15Bis into a MiG-17F. Here is the result (upscaled to 1:200). The only parts remaining from the original are the nose, canopy, and central fuselage (but made a bit longer).

Still needs some minor tweaks (tail cone end, upper wings root). I should have used spars for the wings and tailplanes. As always, I messed up the canopy when glueing it on the fuselage.

That triangular part at the end of the tail cone should be shorter.

Nice one Cafe. That must have been some work. Isn't Roman's Mig-17 an For model?

Thank you!

I like the simplicity of Bruno's models and thought Roman's MiG-17 is too complex for my preferred scale (1:200). Thought I thought of doing the wings the way he did. And I might still cut the central fuselage into 2 segments. The fist attempt at a 4-segments fuselage didn't go well and I didn't even attempt a test-build. I also want to do a JJ-5/FT-5.

Dear Carlos:
Since I do 1/400, I greatly welcome this addition, and plenty of opportunities for recolors. Particularly important to Vietnam War modelers.
Happy modeling, redesigning and adaption, and recoloring.

Well, the current liveries include a VPAF example, even if I've seen a profile of the exact same serial w/ red fin top sporting the chinese national insignia instead of North-Vietnamese.

I'll probably build the indonesian version to validate the new (small) edits.

Hello Carlos ,

These are very nice models, great.
A question, Since I'm from East Germany,
Are these models also available as a Warsaw Pact version?
I would be very happy .

Thank you Andreas
