Smile Kochyerigin TSh-3 1/50: A rushed model

Well, I started to play World of Warplanes because this plane the Kochyerigin TSh-3 a Russian project for a ground attack aircraft with TEN!!! machine guns and lovely pants

A contest was run at the WoWP forum about paper models I' saw it 8 days before the end.I thougth was a good excuse to design and build the plane which I like a lot. Sadly I misunderstood the exact time of end of the contest but I'm a cardmodeler so I've the fun to see the model taking shape.

With the previous images and looking the 3d model in the game I made the 3d model:

and I got the parts colored and printed:

I choose to use parts from another aircraft from the period because in the game the model has some seats which don't look very military.
Here the parts finished.

Of course the instrument panel is just some circles because I didn't have much time to work.
The copckit is taking shape:

The gunner seat inside the cylinder:

The copckit before to be closed:

Now start to "skinning" the fuselage. Because the contest indicates only paper was allowed I just don't use any former.
I don't have time to design any strip so I just made them from scratch.

Ahh the wings. Why I always like planes with complications?
The wing is very complex with 3 different sections:

but I think I wing

and the fuselage is finished too:

Ah , the pants. I love them but they are always a challenge for the curved surfaces.

but I think the went ok:

the wing and pant:

In the next post the final.

I didn't take may pictures in the end because I was running out of time here the model finished:

Of course the model lacks of details: the machine gun, more panel lines, something to do with exhauts and it calls for the use of formers because the wings are really big.

I'll work on that details before write the instructions and It's going to be a kit on ecardmodels.

Regards
Alcides

Outstanding! Good luck with the contest. It's an unusual subject, and I'm sure the kit will be a winner once you get the skins detailed. Well done!

Looks great. Wish I could "rush" a model and have it look like that!

Very interesting.

I hope any people developed a tool to extract the planes of game in a usable format. The game have a many interesting airplanes of 1930's.

Great work Luis I hope get the beautie in Ecardmodels soon, the unbuild soviet planes are very interesting and this is very close with Curtiss A-8...

Great job, It doesn't look like a rushed model.
