Both (sort of).
I originally started to use the Aer Lingus model as you suggested. One problem: The Aer Lingus model is in raster format, which is a PAIN to recolor. So, I thought I would look at the blank template from Paper-Replika and see what changes needed to be made to match the Aer Lingus craft. After all, the John Bowden recolor is based on the A320 from Julius Perdana (Paper-Replika). My method for comparing the two models was thus: 1) I opened a page for the Aer Lingus model in Illustrator. I then opened the corresponding page of the blank model (also in Illustrator). 2) I did a copy/paste of the AL (tired of typing "Aer Lingus") page (which was really just a single image) OVER the page of the blank model. 3) I then adjusted the transparency of the image for the AL parts so that the blank template was visible beneath. 4) I moved/adjusted the AL parts graphic to line up with the blank template. Note that I did NOT change any scaling of anything, just moved the two layers over one another. Hope this helps, my apologies (if necessary) for being unclear.

Oh, okay! Sweet, so you just modified the blank -200 file to match the Aer Lingus.
Whoohoo! Can't wait to see this :D THANK YOU! -RunwayOneSixRight (Matthew) |

Don't hold your breath for anything too quick- My free time is VERY limited, and I have a lot of other things I need to take care of first. (Don't we all?) The tail (vertical stabilizer) is a no-brainer, just a grid of different-sized dots. Figuring out the pattern so those dots will translate correctly down the rear fuselage section might be a bit more work...

Yes, I have tried to recolor that too. Its very difficult and I prefer the Paper-replika version anyway.
Thank you anyway SFW. -RunwayOneSixRight (Matthew) |

While the Canon model is quite nice, the problem lies in the fact that they have not given permission to recolor and redistribute the model like Paper-Replika has for their A320.

The lack of permission trumps any other considerations in this case. Un-coloring/re-coloring a vector model is fairly easy with the right software. As an experiment, I just tried it with the model in question. Total time to completely "strip" the model and prepare it for a recolor was just under 16:05 (16:04:98 to be precise.) OK, so I now have a "blank" Canon A320. Now what? I still cannot recolor and redistribute this model, since I do not have permission to do so. [Edit] Forgot to add: No, I will not provide anyone with a copy of the uncolored Canon model, so don't even try to ask. In fact, it's going into the bit bucket after I finish this...
