What a beautiful small thing you have built up so far! And never mind, you can still go for a Fokker triplane. There's a German publisher called WMH if I'm not mistaken who has two Dr.1's in one kit, the Red Baron's and another German ace (Werner Voss). Only thing is the scale: it's 1:50 (but that's still small, maybe 15 cm on the most) but that can be easily fixed with a good printer. I made the model some 15 years ago, and it's a very nicely detailed aircraft. Still on display after all these years!

Regards,
Erik

It still looks good to me. I am glad we could give you a bump of Encouragement. I totally understand the "something else caught my eye" scenerio. Very easy to do, especially after you have a set back in a build. Look forward to seeing it completed.

Hi Don,

perhaps the trouble with the strut has to do with the fact that the middle wing is positioned slightly higher than the fuselage. Rather odd construction at that time. Hope the picture clarifies what I mean

Otherwise it's in the design. Rather odd designer all the time.

Thanks for your kind words, fellas. I positioned the center wing based on museum photos of the actual airplane, and I think the wing placement is pretty close. I agree with Bruno that it might be attached a tad low on the center strut - but I don't think it's off by much - perhaps a 32nd of an inch. Of course, 1/32 of an inch is about 3 inches in 1/100 scale, but taking into account that the modeler is 1/1 scale, I'm happy with it.
