Fuselage Tubing

Yes, Rusty,

soldered copper (or brass?) tubing would of course be even more authentic-looking! No doubt about that.

What an interesting mixed-media project!
Good luck!

I had one, it got destroyed in a move from Las Vegas to Ontario, Canada...it didn't like getting put into a box.

I'll have to look at the prints and find out exactly what size wire is going to be needed. I recycle e-waste so I have a big supply. I think the wire would be easier (at least for me) to solder than tubing. I'll have to find some steel wire for inside of the fuselage.

Just in case anyone is interested, one of the Magic Key releases from Fiddler's Green this week was the Fokker DR1

There is a thread about cutaways. Several hunderds of aircraft cutaways from all eras.

Unfortunately, the forum seems to be unreachable right now (at least from here) which is quite unusual. It was very active past weeks. But there is great material.

Looks like Zona Militar is back again online.

That cutaway thread is really interesting as reference material for airplane lovers. Do not miss it
