The tail skid alone is an incredibly detailed model.

This is an extraordinary project!

Mmmmm....Ribs

Ok, not those kind, but still they are ribs. Here is the evolution of how I am
constructing the cut away wing. The first rib is as it is cut from the laminated card.

The second piece is a 1.5 mm piece of the wood grain that will encircle the rib,
giving a much better appearance.

Next are the cable pass through holes and the lightening holes that were
punched into the ribs.

Here is the wing structure in work. I figured as long as I was cutting things out,
I would cut the spars as well and use those as a holding fixture for the ribs as I work on those.

Skin on, skin off

The final updates, which do bring us up to date, are of the partial skinned fuselage.

These pictures, while not great quality, do give an impression of how this project
will look once complete. For the skins, I printed a linen pattern on one side of the
card stock, turned it over, then printed the kit parts on the other side.
These pictures also show the landing gear mounted, and the cutaway sub wing.
