Latécoère 26 Aéropostale under spring'sun
Hi i would like to share with you few sunny pics of my latest build Latécoère 26 mailplane from the 30'. Most of the aircraft were operated mainly on North and West African mail routes, two aircraft were sold to aeroposta Argentina.
Famous french pilot of the aéropostale compagnie as Mermoz, St Exupery, Guillaumet flew on this aircaft the model It was 1/100 scale reduction but approx 13,5cm lenght and 19 cm wingspan instead of 12,2cm and 17,4 wingspan..... i maybe get an issue with my printer or when i design it but proportion seems good It is edge to edge construction method, no tabs, glue with white pva glue It have no internal stucture(except for the wing) or metal wire strenght landing gear tip, but instead i used red acrylic paint who strenght them enough :

Lovely, clean build of a very interesting machine. This would look equally good in a larger scale. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you very much M. E. So this is what Le Petit Prince was flying when he went down in the Sahara? (Or maybe the Caudron Simoun?) Now that could be a fictional diorama...
