OBP Piper PA-44 Seminole
The Seminole is approaching final stage of construction. Wings are in place. The length measures 22.5cm, meaning about 1:37 in scale. As I have reduced the original to 70%, then the actual scale will be about 1:26. I could have finished with it much earlier had I not indulged in building it in chrome/silver paper as shown in the second pic. Well, maybe too ambitious as I'm not satisfied with the look and after turmoiling for a couple of days on the "one-piece" windscreen, door and windows, I reverted to stock build. Hope to complete the project real soon.

Nice looking build!
What brand is the chrome paper? I've got a few hours flying this Piper. 1/2 fuel load and by yourself the takeoff roll is 520 feet with a 2500 feet per minute climb-out rate. Mike |

What a beautifully clean build. I prefer the look of the "stock" model also. Is it possible that this silver paper is just too shiny for the scale? It looks more like chrome than polished aluminum. Both builds are flawless, though. Well done.

I love the chrome, it does look great. Very nice clean build, and look forward to seeing both versions completed.

Thank you guys and the latest state of play as shown in the attached pic.
The fuselage and engine markings align perfectly well. How did you do it, Aaron? With a bit of touching up like edge colouring, she's ready to go. Yeah, the chrome paper or silver paper as some of you would like to call it appears to be my most favoured medium to print images on. It is a no-name left over stock that I found a couple of years ago. I've been searching locally for some time to see if it re-appears again. Papermate |

Luck of the Draw I think. Sometimes they line up, sometimes they don't.

Very cool. I'd love to see more of these General Aviation twins. I've got about 400 hours flying this little gem.
