A-9 Rocket repaint

I have started in on repainting the A-9 rocket from Fiddlers Green.

So far its been fairly straight forward, as its mostly the same textures and techniques I used when I repainted the He-162.

Their already is a green version that was recently added to the FG folders, but I wanted to do my own.

Which canopy looks better? The original is black and does have a certain something. I made up a more classic sky blue version, but can't decide if its actually better or not.

I like the blue too, but the black does look a little more sinister.

I printed out the 5 pages and I am hoping to get started tonight. For a large model this has surprisingly small number of parts. Around 30 or so for the rocket and another 10 for the launcher.

I agree with MacSongLi and Sbirulina, the blue looks better.

Well, I finally found the motivation to finish this one off. I just threw it all together today. I totally messed up the wings- not only are there huge gaps between the wings and the fuselage, but I glued them on upside down! Well at least its done. Now I can move on to something else.

At least its large (Size does matter). I found an old round wooden display stand I bought years ago from the local dollar store and painted it green, then stuck a skewer stick up the middle to keep it from falling over. And that is that.
