Me Bf 190 E-4

Hello all. Time to bite the bullet and concentrate on a new learning experience.

This will be my first Kartenowy Arsenal (Halinski) kit and it has been very kindly given to me by modelling chum Adam (Hiob). There have been many Halinski builds, so you all know what to expect.
I know that this particular kit is one of their simpler ones, as I have several others in my stash, but it still seems a daunting prospect when confronted with the quality and abundance of parts.
Anyway here we go. First step, laminating the parts to the relevant thickness of material. 1mm and 0.5mm. I don't have the laser-cut frames for this, so I am looking forward to a couple of pleasant days cutting these out. Wish me luck

All the best and happy modelling,

Bernie

Not bad for an hour's work. Not as bad as I expected!

As you wish, Bernie - I do wish you good luck. I'm convinced you'll do just fine! Halinski models are nice, aren't they? - L.

You're off to a good start, keep it up

Might I inquire as to the purpose of your modified knife blade? Certainly keeps you from continually breaking the tips . Does it work well for you?

Sven, Tim, Leif and Steve, thanks for dropping by. Yes Leif, they are nice, works of art and the pinnacle of the publisher's craft. It seems almost a shame cutting them up.

Steve, the modified knife blade (a re-ground No 11 Exacto) is used as a chisel for cutting slots in formers. It's ground to 1mm, just the right width.

The best to all and happy modelling,

Bernie

Bernie,

Beautiful work with the chisel! I might need to make one for me.

Great start Bernie, I love the modified blade for use as a chisel.
