1/50 Macchi M.5 Seaplane Fighter
At the risk of biting off more then I can chew at this point, I re-started a model I started a year ago or so...the 1/50 Macchi M.5 Seaplane Fighter. The model is designed by Marek and as roughly 109 parts. At the current cost of $3.75 through ecardmodels it is a great deal. If I can finish this it will be a nice addition to my 1/50 scale collection, that right now consists of five ME-109s sitting on my shelf.
You can get this great model here 1/50 Macchi M.5 Seaplane Fighter Paper Model The body of the plane went together so smooth! The engine has a bunch of fiddly parts though, and so far for me it is a challenge! Pictures and updates soon!

Nice looking graphics on that aircraft. Those engine placements always look cool to me.

These early seaplanes were good-looking aircraft. I like your latest project, Corey.

Some questions... in the printed parts and now on my model the seat, stick and pedals are off set to the left of the cockpit area. But the headrest is center lined as is the windscreen. And so are the pilots in actual pictures... Did I oops here?
Also, in the photo of this plane (I assume that this is the same plane #20, anyhow, in the picture the engine cover is missing alltogether and the art on the nose is a bit off... so are the colors but that is most likely my printer I used at the time rather then the download. Finally, in other models I have seen of this plane (in plastic) there are two round glass covered windows just ahead of the cockpit. These circles are marked on the paper model but I did not cut them out. You can see them clearly in the photo of another M.5. What are they? Surly the pilot could not look out of them in any way? Not that any of this matters as I am building the model as is, I am just wondering...

2- There were several engine cowlings, sometimes they were totally removed, and some parts were made by hand by mechanics in the hangar, according to the wishes of the pilots. I will try pictures for the Flying dragon. 3- They are portholes to illuminate the dashboard controls, but, they are present or not, depending on the manufacturing company and by model. The Flying dragon it was unprovided. regards, matt77

Thanks. I wish I had done a few things a bit different but I am happy so far... mounting the upper wing and keeping it true will be a challenge for me though!
