I would also like the Viking model.
Always liked the aircraft.

I "worked" on S-3s while I was at VX-1 (Patuxent River, MD). I never got too familiar with it because I was afraid that NEC would stick to me and I'd be carrier bound when it came time for me to rotate back to sea duty. I'm a rotary wing kind of guy, smaller flight deck, and only one aircraft at a time could kill me (and I was either looking at it, on it, or in it).

That being said, I would very much like to build one. I'll keep my eye on this thread in hopes that it will be made available.
(we had 2 ES-3A's too, those avionics cooling fans were louder than the engines!)

I have the S-3 files, and have received permission from Nobi to host them here. After I clarify one thing, I will have them uploaded in the downloads section.

I merged my copies into 1 pdf file, makes life a lot easier. Maybe do the same before posting? (with his permission of course)

For S-3 fans, there was a 1:33 version by Fly Models years ago. Might still be a few around on eBay or some of the online dealers that sell old models. Not free and not 1:72 like Nobi's but I thought it might be of interest.

There are also 3 versions of the Viking in scale 1/300 (sigh) in post 2569 of the thread "one model per (non-working) day". Not that I want to compete with anyone. certainly not at this scale.

The more the merrier. I was just looking for Nobi's one specifically. Just something I like about that plane.

Will check yours out, thanks for the heads up.
