I know what burnishing is and you seem to do it a lot after the assemblies are finished and glued up. Could you elaborate on what it is you do when you burnish? I presume you're talking about burnishing seams. How do you burnish without the paper buckling?

Good progress Boats, I wish I could build my Mosquito (Orlik) as fast as you do! In addition to Elliot's comment above I'm curious about what you mean with burnishing. Is it applying varnish?? May seem like a silly question but English is not my mother tongue.

Okay buddy here is what I mean by burnishing I have a fetish for seams and joints I cant stand them, In burnishing I do it only on the seams and joints where the mating formers are joined. Done only when the glue has dried never burnish when glue is wet you will run in to trouble if you do so, It will cause the glued parts to shift over and you have to undo the part and start over. I use a teaspoon lay the fuselage or wing over a clean paper towel or cloth. This will prevent the model from getting dirty. The more you burnish the joints will turn in to printed panel lines. This is a repeated process until you are self satisfied. There you go my friend Happy modeling. Boats
