I think those are "shadows" of seats under the glass.Very cool effect imho.

Had an early 1/72 Hasegawa placky of Cunningham/Driscoll's F-4. It wasn't a very good kit and never ended up building it. Then along comes little old you and gives us a beauty in 1/100. Thanks mate! Regards, Garry G.

I only do paper canopies and I like to break up all the blue with a "shadow" of the seats and equipment inside. Here are a couple of more pictures with the centerline drop tank.
