I have been on holidays so, I haven't had much time for paper modeling. I did start building some of the 10 or so repaints I have done of Bruno's super detailed P-51D. It has an interior, wheel wells, detailed landing gear and tires and a pattern to make a vacuum form canopy. I did not use the detailed parts, but hopefully someone will. Here my first build of a P-51D. I need to change a bunch of things but at least I know how it goes together now.

Wonderful recolor and build. Love it.

I did the interior and details a long time ago and added even a pilot (no legs added so it could get into the cockpit) with the face of the actual pilot.

here some pictures just to show that even a moderately skilled modeler like me can do it.

Thanks for the pictures Bruno, I have done a couple of repaints of George Preddy's "Cripes A Mighty" and have repainted your pilot figure to his likeness. I don't think I can build it though it is so small.
Michael as soon as Ecardmodels is back up I will send a bunch of P-51s.
Vinalssergio155, thank you.
Rata, I hope you can contain your excitment, you don't want to explain to your wife when she washes your shorts.

Next up, Detroit Miss. I have to make a few changes and I need to make the Detroit Miss lettering more white and less black.

The only scales I recognize are 1/144...1/100...1/76...the challenge of detail , practical display possibility....1/33 are a big no no for me...but that is only me.

As always, great builds! Your open-canopy ‘Stang is simply fantastic.

Been away from the Forums for a while. Seriously surprised to discover that Many Models are 1:200.
Yikes! that's the watchmakers' art imo.
Extremely teeny and seriously fiddly. Absolutely so if one tries do a credible build
Why? not like paper costs enough for materials to be the rationale.
Clearly None ! of us has improving eyesight either ...as insult to injury..
Sooo. what's the reason? Curiosity is all.
I have Zero intentions of assembling anything below 1:33 scale.

Not a problem danilo... simply re-scale them to 1:33! I have done so with many of Bruno's kits. If your in it just to build it, it's fun and dead brain so simple that a retarded rat with brain injury can build them decently enough. I am secretly kicking off a project where I take an S&P Kit and redraw it at scale 1:32 adding more detail like more accurate panel lines and better fitting parts but keeping the overall simplicity of the kit. I love this hobby as there is something for everybody.
