Thanks again guys. One of my favourite movies growing up was The Blue Max. I would watch it whenever it was on TV. I just finished a repaint of Lt. Bruno Stachel's Pfalz D.III from the movie. I was looking through Scissors & Planes profiles and I see Bruno has a model in this same scheme. It is #454 if you are interested.

I love "Blue Max".It was good film for the time.Too bad there are so very few aviation films made, never mind as good as that.
Btw-I know a lot of those planes were actually SV-4 Stampes and Tiger Moths in a dress to play the roles but good many were replicas including that Pfalz. I found recently VHS of Von Richthofen and Brown from 1971.Not as good as Blue Max but aerial shots are better made and far longer.I have to find better copy somewhere. |
